The City of North Bay is undertaking an integrated Active Transportation Master Plan (ATMP). The ATMP will provide the necessary framework for future planning, upgrading, development, and expansion of the City’s active transportation systems. The City recognizes the growing need to expand its active transportation systems beyond the normal active and passive-based recreation focused trail systems, to an ATMP that promotes, encourages, and increases daily commuter non-motorized transportation travel throughout the City.
The public is invited to a presentation of the City of North Bay’s Draft Active Transportation Master Plan on Tuesday, December 11th at 6:30 pm at Memorial Gardens (100 Chippewa St. W.) in the North Bay Sports Wall of Fame section of the arena. Jim Scott of Trace Planning and Design, the project’s lead landscape architect and planner, will present the draft plan then facilitate a discussion with attendees.
